Scott Garrett Helps Jon Corzine Make an Ad

In Governor Corzine’s latest TV ad touting his credentials, he uses a video of Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, who is a moderate Republican, having a heated argument with Rep. Garrett over the $787 billion in stimulus money that Corzine accepted for New Jersey. While Garrett and other Republicans strongly opposed the stimulus plans passed by the President and supported by many Governors like Corzine, Secretary LaHood praised the money that Corzine brought to the state. “Your governor has been a real leader in this, by the way,” LaHood forcefully told Garrett.
